Zhang Yimou’s “Impression Liu Sanjie”
A nightly ‘folk musical’ performance on the Li River, Yangshuo, China. I wasn’t sure this was going to be my cup of tea, but it was an awesome show. The red ribbon waves where one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Zhang Yimou directed the films Hero and House of Flying Daggers, and also the massive opening ceremony for the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
